Good-bye to Matka

On Friday night (yes, after a fun afternoon at White Water) Jason and I met Alina, Tony and several of their neighbors for a farewell dinner for Alina's mother. We ate at Henry's on the square in downtown Acworth- I had never been there and it was such a fun experience! It's a New Orleans style restaurant with yummy spicy cajun food and delicious drinks- Henry, the owner, socializes with all his guests and hands out beads. He even gave Alina's mother a farewell shot of vodka :) We hardly ever get to hang out with Tony and Alina without the girls and it was nice to have an evening out with Jason.

Alina's mom has been here since March so we have gotten to know her and hang out with her many times- she is a warm, loving person and even though there is a language barrier, Ava adores her. It doesn't bother Ava that Matka speaks Polish- she still carries on conversations with her anyway!

We hope that you have a safe flight back to Poland and hopefully Jason and I will get the opportunity to come and visit you one day! We will miss you!

Alina's mother, Alina and Tony- notice the huge crab cakes on the table- Henry's specialty!

My handsome hubby and me :)
