When the Lindros' offered us a trip to the lake- what else could we say, but of course! :) We drove to Lake Guntersville in Alabama for a quick weekend away and celebrated our anniversary on Saturday and Father's Day on Sunday. It was such a treat to have a few nights away, just a few steps from a gorgeous lake, our own private pool in the back, with almost perfect weather!! When Sunday came, no one wanted to leave. Thanks to Kim and Len for inviting us and we can't wait for our next vacation!!
I personally promise to start training now for the beach in September, so maybe even with the wine and being out in the sun all day, I'll be able to stay up past 10 o'clock :)
The girls loved being together all weekend- they swam like little fish and it was near impossible to convince them to get out to eat a meal! Ava loved being allowed to swim after dark and she really loved the slide. It was all fun and games until Emmie did a booty bounce onto the concrete into the pool and then we were hard pressed to even convince her to get in the water. I know it had to hurt, but it was pretty amusing watching her hold her hiney when walking around.
Caitlin was not the fish that her big sister was. This was one of the few moments that she was in her float- and it was only because we kept giving her all the toys you can see around her. The rest of the time she just wanted to be held in the water.
Ava going down the slide all by herself. This weekend Ava really matured around the water- she has always been pretty fearful in the past. However, at the lake she jumped into the water by herself and went down the slide by herself, she made giant leaps towards being a confident swimmer. We were so proud of her!

On Saturday early afternoon, there was a quick and explosive thunderstorm. We grabbed the panicky girls out of the pool and let them snuggle on the couch to watch a princess movie. The guys were out playing golf and were able to almost make it through the round before they got rained out.
Does anyone else watch the Imagination Movers?
We looove them at our house!
From all 3 of your daughters :)
